R&D for Strings

As I'am more 3D orientated a lot of the animation tests and R&D I did for this project was mainly creating 3D models to help with perspective. It was vey important to us to create dynamic camera move and abstract transitions to supplement the very minimal art style of the piece.


Another problem we encounter in the testing phase was maintaining form in a dynamic shot such as this one. To create this I animated a 3D Body mech rig in Maya and roto-ed over that in TVPaint. Obviously the animation is very rough but it shows the potential of this style of animation.
