Editing My Film

The editing style of of the film came from the the French Nouveau style with unexpected cuts and jumps from one scene to the next. One french new technique that i did not utilize was the famous handheld style made famous by the french New wave. This was because I created this short with the express intention of creating a VFX shot for DGA261. Because i wanted the include a CG element into my shot, i had to calculate the amount of time and skill I had and came to the conclusion that it would be best for this production to have locked of shots,

A good example of the kind of cuts i wanted to implement in my film can be seen at the end of this scene.

obvious inspiration forthis short and overall look and feel came from Man From U.N.C.L.E. I borrrowed elements such as a dosier style from the film..
