I created this stunning render using Terrragen. I was playing around with using procedural environmental software as part of my R&D for an idea I want to pitch next year for my final year a uni. Visually this render ticks all the right boxes for me. It has that cinematic, high production feel to it, as well as he realism that I'm striving for. But the biggest and possibly idea ending problem with software is just how long it takes to render. This gif alone in 1080p resolution took 19 hours to render! And another thing i have to confront is the fact that I do not have access to this software in the studio but I read in a forum somewhere that you can transfer OBJ files from Terragen to Maya but i have yet to figure out how to do that my self.
here are some more still from this render

Argh the Ray Traced lighting looks fantastic! Once I add realistic vegetation, sediment and rocks you could easilsy fool anyone into thinking that this scene is real.
